إلغاء رحلات جوية وانقطاع الكهرباء في أميركا

ألغيت أكثر من خمسمئة رحلة جوية من مطار هارتسفيلد الدولي في أتلانتا الأميركية، كما انقطعت الكهرباء عن مناطق عديدة في المدينة، مساء الاثنين، وذلك بعد تعرض ولاية جورجيا لعدة عواصف رعدية.

وبلغت سرعة الرياح ثمانين ميلا في الساعة، ما أدى إلى أضرار في الممتلكات وقطع الطرق وسقوط الاشجار

وكانت الأرصاد الجوية حذرت في وقت مبكر أن العواصف ستكون خطيرة وقد تؤدي إلى وقوع وفيات وتدمير الممتلكات.

ورفعت سلطات الولاية حالة الطوارئ إلى الدرجة الثالثة، حتى منتصف ليل الاثنين بتوقيت الساحل الشرقي للولايات المتحدة.

وذكرت وكالة “أسوشيتد برس” أنه لقى شخصان على الأقل مصرعهما ، وألغيت آلاف الرحلات الجوية الأميركية أو تأخرت، وانقطعت الكهرباء عن أكثر من 1.1 مليون منزل وشركة تجارية، الاثنين مع تحرك العواصف الشديدة، بما في ذلك البَرَد والبرق، عبر شرق الولايات المتحدة.
